About Rachel Barone
Rachel is the Head Strategist for Urban Jungle. Urban living is not new to Rachel. After 3+ decades of living in three different urban cities – Philadelphia, New York City and Boston, Rachel has a deep understanding for what it is like to grow up, attend school and raise a family in a big city.
She moved to New York City in 2005 to start her career in Finance, quickly met her now husband and fell in love with the city. Rachel has lived in many different neighborhoods and apartments in New York City and has friends in every neighborhood. Rachel and her husband, Ophir, reside with their two children, Noah (3 years old) and Arielle (16 months) on the Upper West Side where she serves on the Parent’s Association for her son’s preschool.
After struggling with her own apartment search, Rachel is passionate about helping others find the right neighborhood to meet their needs and the best brokers to help them find a place to call home. She is also intimately familiar with preschool and private school application processes having just successfully navigated through them for her own family. Rachel first got introduced to Urban Jungle’s sister company, Suburban Jungle, through her own city vs. suburbs debate in 2014 when her son was born. She was so impressed with the company, she has referred many happy friends to the company ever since.
Before starting Urban Jungle, Rachel spent 13 years in Business Development and Relationship Management and as her friends and family can attest is a resident networker and connector. The first part of her career she advised Ultra High Net Worth Clients as an Investor for JPMorgan’s Private Bank. Most recently, she led American Express’ bank partnership with Wells Fargo where she launched new credit cards and significantly grew the partnership.
She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
